March 6, 2021

Dear Parishioners and Faithful of St. Catherine’s Parish,

The Province announced yesterday that our District of Simcoe Muskoka will be removed from lockdown and we will return to the red zone of Ontario’s COVID-19 response framework on Monday March 8, 2021 at 12:01am. Therefore, starting with Monday morning, St. Catherine’s Parish will return to operating at 30% capacity and registrations for any of the liturgies and services are no longer necessary.

I take this opportunity to remind everyone that there are just a few weeks left in this time of the Great Lent, and I encourage everyone to attend the Lenten services. The Passia Service or Service of the Lord’s Passion is on Friday evenings at 7pm. And the Parastas Service or Memorial Service, where we read the names of our dearly departed and pray for them, is on Saturday mornings at 10am. Attending these services can form part of our Lenten observances and sacrifices.

We thank the Lord, the Giver of Life, for our return to the larger capacity for our church. May we bless the Lord always and may He continue to pour His graces upon us all as we continue to walk with Him during this Great Lent.

Glory to Your Passions, O Lord!
